About the Role
We are looking for a Senior WordPress Developer to join the Webpenter remote team. You will build high-performance themes, custom plugins, and WooCommerce integrations for clients in Europe, UAE, and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom WordPress themes from Figma mockups
- Build and maintain custom plugins (authentication, APIs, dashboards)
- Optimize sites for Core Web Vitals and Google PageSpeed
- Integrate third-party APIs (payment gateways, CRMs, analytics)
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers
Requirements
- 4+ years of WordPress development experience
- Strong PHP (OOP), JavaScript (ES6+), and CSS expertise
- Experience with WooCommerce, ACF, and Gutenberg blocks
- Familiarity with REST APIs and headless WordPress (optional)
- Git version control and CI/CD basics
Nice to Have
- React or Vue.js experience for Gutenberg block development
- Experience with staging/deployment pipelines (Kinsta, WP Engine)
